Saturday, Buddy participated in his first tae kwon do tournament! He had so much fun and he did great! He competed in doing his form (routine) and in sparring.
He got third place for his forms!
Sparring is his favorite thing to do and so he was really excited to compete in that.

It was hard work, but Buddy won all three of his matches and got first place!
First place on the podium. The kid he beat in his final round got second and you can see that he was still taller than Buddy on a lower block!
His best friend also got first in his age group, so they were very excited and proud of each other!
With his 1st and 3rd place trophies. We are so proud of him!
Buddy's teacher is on the US Tae Kwon Do demo team and they compete world wide! They train at the building where the tournament was held, so we got to watch them do a demo for us.
I got some great videos of Buddy and also the demo team, but I can not get them to upload! I will keep trying, so if you want to see them, check back in a day or two and see if I got them.
